A week after fire, The Hub reopens Stapley location in Mesa

🍔 A week after being shut down by a fire, The Hub Grill & Bar has reopened its location near the northwest corner of Stapley and Baseline in Mesa.

‘‘We’re back! Come visit us at Stapley, we’ve missed you all!’’ the restaurant posted on social media.

The first-alarm fire broke out just after 7 p.m. Friday, June 20. Fortunately, all customers and staff were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

The Mesa and Gilbert fire departments responded to deal with heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof.

The next day, The Hub announced an indefinite closure until the extent of the damage could be determined and repairs made.

The quick reopening is in stark contrast to a fire that closed The Hub’s Sossaman location in east Mesa on New Year’s Eve 2020. In that instance, the restaurant required extensive renovations and didn’t reopen for 30 months.
