U.S. Egg reopens Tempe location 15 months after fire

🥞 My house burned down in 2004 and took just over three months to rebuild, so it surprises me how long it takes many restaurants to recover after a fire. The latest example is family-run U.S. Egg in Tempe.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the 2024 blaze and employees were able to keep working at one of U.S. Egg’s five other Valley locations, but it took 15 months and a $1.9 million rebuild to get the doors open again.

I’m looking forward to once again enjoying their signature Protein Pancakes, one of my favorite breakfasts, as the Gebran family celebrates their restaurants’ 40th anniversary this year.
