✈️ Eggroll Xpress has soft-opened on the southeast corner of Elliot and McClintock in south Tempe, and the airport-themed concept is as fun to experience as it is to eat.
The conceit is committed: think TSA lines, flight attendant service, and baggage claim pickup. But the real star is the menu, which sends crispy eggrolls on a global layover.
Core Destinations ($4 for two) cover the classics – Little Saigon, Great Wall, Hanoi Harbor, and the OG Lumpia – while Signature Stops ($5 each) get more adventurous with standouts like Island Jerk, Buffalo Bold, and the veggie-friendly Southwest Sizzle.
Gluten-free spring rolls handle the Light Layovers crowd, and First Class Upgrades like Teriyaki Wonton Tacos and the shareable Runway Fries (three global toppings, one tray, $22) are built for groups.
Combo boxes make the decision easy – the Xpress Box at $19 is a solid first flight – and don’t skip the Caramel Apple or Strawberries & Cream rolls for dessert.
Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
