🌯 South Tempe’s brunch scene has a new contender.
Sergio’s Kitchen, a popular stop at the Uptown Farmers’ Market in Phoenix, has opened a brick-and-mortar space on the northwest corner of Elliott and Kyrene, serving a focused menu of New Mexican-style burritos and quesadillas that prioritizes homemade everything.
The burrito lineup is the main event. Standouts include the Shredded Red Chile Pork with slow-braised shoulder and feta ($11), the Green Chile Chicken with a homemade tomatillo pumpkin seed sauce and skillet potatoes ($11), and Schreiner’s Chorizo loaded with local chorizo and refried peruano beans ($11).
Quesadillas mirror the burrito roster, and the salsas and pico de gallo are available to take home by the jar.
Open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
