🍣 Northeast Phoenix’s High Street just got a lot more interesting. Kanoki, a sushi and cocktails bar, has opened in the Desert Ridge corridor, and the menu makes a strong first impression.
The format is temaki-forward, with handrolls ranging from a simple salmon ($8) to showstoppers like Wagyu A5 with pickled mustard seed ($16) and uni with caviar and perilla ($12).
Nigiri and sashimi round out the raw bar, with premium cuts like Ankimo (monkfish liver) and Amaebi (sweet shrimp) signaling real ambition.
For the full experience, the Temaki Omakase, three chef’s choice handrolls for $32, is the move.
Open 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 3 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
