18 food & drink deals to celebrate America’s 250th birthday

🇺🇸 The Valley is going all-in on red, white, and blue this year – and with America’s 250th birthday landing on the calendar, restaurants and bars from Queen Creek to downtown Phoenix are pulling out all the stops.

Whether you’re after a boozy pool party, a patriotic pancake stack or just a really good hot dog, here are the best specials this Fourth of July weekend.

Boot Scootin’ BBQ Party

Kick things off early at the Boot Scootin’ BBQ Party tonight at Caldwell County BBQ in Queen Creek. Free line dancing lessons run from 7:30-8:30 p.m., followed by social dancing until midnight. Show up in red, white and blue and get half off the $10 admission.

Pizza Muffin Madness

Floridino Pizza & Pasta‘s most beloved tradition is back on Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. A dozen pepperoni or original pizza muffins (ham, ground beef, and Italian sausage) run just $8. Orders are online-only, so pre-order early, pick your pickup time slot, and note that substitutions aren’t available for this special.

$2.50 Garlic Knots

Family-owned Italian spot Brooklyn V’s is open Saturday at both its Gilbert and San Tan Valley locations, celebrating America’s 250th with a dozen garlic knots for just $2.50.

Pineapple Festival

Fresh off its sixth straight year making the 50 Top Pizza list, Craft 64 launches a tropical, limited-time Pineapple Festival menu – think Adobo Piña Pizza, Southwest Hawaiian Pizza, Prosciutto & Piña Bruschetta, Jalapeño ’n’ Pina Smoked Wings, Pineapple & Coconut Cannoli, and more – in Old Town Scottsdale and downtown Chandler.

BOGO Shakes

MilkShake Factory in Chandler, Gilbert, and Scottsdale is running a Buy One, Get One Free special all day on its limited-time American Classics Menu. The headliner is the All-American Apple Pie Milkshake, joined by Confetti Birthday Cake, Southern Banana Pudding and Classic Chocolate Malt milkshakes, plus a Root Beer Float and Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.

Chef-Driven BBQ

Belmont Kitchen & Cocktails in north Scottsdale is serving a special barbecue-inspired menu by chefs Alex Stratta and Fidencio Alatriste from 3-9 p.m. Saturday, including Buttermilk Fried Chicken with jalapeño-cherry cornbread, corn on the cob and BBQ hot sauce, plus BBQ Beef Brisket with mole negro, charred chiles and an Oaxaca quesadilla.

$4 Patriotic Bites

All six Valley locations of Hash Kitchen are serving up $4 festive brunch bites: the Red, White & Blue Cannoli Doughnut (fried dough, cannoli cream, powdered sugar) and the Billionaire’s Bacon (thick-cut applewood bacon, yuzu glaze, brown sugar chile rub, and 24K gold flakes).

$8 Hot Dog Meal

All July long, Miracle Mile Deli is running an $8 hot dog special – a Hebrew National all-beef kosher dog with fries and a drink. Upgrade for a buck more with the New Yorker (homemade coleslaw), the Straw Dog (hot sauerkraut and melted Swiss), or the Chili Dog (homemade chili).

Glizzy Party

At Scottsdale hangout The Hot Chick, arcade games, bar games and $10 boozy snow cones lead into midnight, when the night culminates in the club’s signature hot dog toss – a late-night tradition that’s become a fan-favorite.

Friday through Sunday, DC Ranch hangout The Living Room is pouring Tito’s vodka, beer, and glasses of house red, white, or rosé for $4 each.

Patriotic Pours

Through July 4, veteran-owned Cider Corps in downtown Mesa is offering $4 pours of two patriotic ciders: the low-ABV Esprit de Corps (apple juice, lemon, salt – an homage to the Fallen Soldiers Table) and their award-winning American Apple Pie.

$4 Day Drinkers & D-Backs Raffle

Pedal Haus Brewery in downtown Tempe, Chandler, Phoenix, and Mesa will have its flagship Day Drinker Light Lager, along with adult soda pops, for $4 all day, as well as a $17.76 Chicago dog and tots special. Every purchase earns a raffle entry for a chance to win four Arizona Diamondbacks tickets.

Red, White & Booze Pool Party

In downtown Phoenix, The Pemberton‘s Ibiza Pool (pictured) throws a free-entry pool party from 2 p.m. to close with Boozy Sno Cones, popsicles, Jim Beam Lemonades, Independence Day Jello shots, a $6 hot dog & fries plate, and live DJs.
