🥙 Pita Jungle, which has more than 20 Valley locations, is celebrating National Gyro Day by offering $5 gyro sandwiches all day Friday.

What: The Greek staple (normally $9.99) is made with broiled beef and lamb, seasonal mixed greens, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles covered in house-made tzatziki in a Greek pita.

The fine print: The offer is valid for dine-in only and limited to two per guest at participating locations.

🌮 Pronto, the new fast-casual concept in Tempe from Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants, has several summer specials:

• Tuesdays: 2 for $5 machaca beef, shredded chicken, tomatillo pork, or fajita veggies tacos (pictured).

🌯🥗 Breakfast, lunch, and a drink for less than $10? That’s right. Drive-through concept Salad and Go is bringing back its ‘‘On the Go’’ bundle for a limited time.

What you get: Any breakfast burrito, a cold-brew coffee (or any 24-ounce drink), and any salad or wrap with chicken or tofu for just $9.99.

When: The ‘‘On the Go’’ bundle only is available during breakfast hours – 6:30-10:30 a.m. Monday-Friday and 7-11 a.m. Saturday-Sunday.

🥗 🎉 The Gladly, the New American restaurant in Phoenix’s Biltmore neighborhood, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this month with a $10 special on its most famous menu item – the Original Stetson Salad – on Mondays.

The dish: The Original Chopped Salad combines rows of smoked salmon, arugula, Israeli couscous, marinated tomatoes, house-made trail mix, and sweet dried corn with a buttermilk herb dressing and is mixed table side.

The background: Created by chef-owner Bernie Kantak while he was working at the now-defunct Cowboy Caio in Old Town Scottsdale, the salad has won numerous awards and inspired many variations nationwide.

The details: You can get the Original Chopped Salad (normally $17) for just $10 from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Mondays in August.

🍤🥫 Angry Crab Shack, which started in Mesa in 2013 and now has locations in five states, is running a pair of specials this month.

10th anniversary: In honor of its 10th anniversary, Angry Crab is offering 2013 throwback prices of $14/pound for head-off shrimp (normally $17/pound) and $12/pound for head-on shrimp (normally $15/pound).

• The offer is good only at the 16 Arizona locations and only via in-store ordering (dine-in or to-go). Not available through online ordering or third-party delivery services.

Food drive: Angry Crab Shack also is partnering with Save The Family on a charitable Back-2-School food drive. Customers who donate a non-perishable food item when dining can receive a 10% discount per person.

🍳🥞 Locally owned breakfast and lunch spot Morning Squeeze is bringing back its popular Kids Eat Free promotion. For the month of August, kids 12 and under can eat for free on weekdays from the restaurant’s kids menu.

The kids menu: Eggs, bacon, and potatoes; French toast sticks, mouse pancake; or grilled cheese sandwich with fries with a choice of soda, juice, or milk (normally $8).

The details: The offer good Mondays through Fridays from Aug. 1-31 at all three Morning Squeeze locations – Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix.

• There is no purchase necessary.

The quote: “We know it’s a hot and busy time of year, so we’re hoping to take some of the squeeze out of the day for parents,” says Shea Neill, Morning Squeeze director of marketing.
