Downtown Tempe ramen shop Umami reopens today after two months of repairs for fire damage.

Umami was closed March 20 when a small fire started in the motor of its ice machine overnight. Although the fire was contained to the machine, the smoke damage was extensive.

Original estimates were for the restaurant to be closed for several days.
