Ahipoki debuts plant-based alternative to tuna for poke bowls, salads & tacos

By Jess Harter Thursday, September 12, 2019

Ahipoki, a fast-growing chain of poke restaurants, will debut Ahimi, a plant-based alternative to tuna, on Friday, Sept. 13, at all 25 of its locations in Arizona and California.

Ahimi is made of five ingredients – tomatoes, water, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil – making it vegan and gluten-free.

It’s served in a house-made vegan sauce with sweet onion, garlic, ginger, and umami flavors, and will be available in poke bowls, salads, and tacos.

Ahipoki has East Valley locations in Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert.
